My formal trainings include:
I received my Doctoral Degree from Antioch University New England in Keene, NH. I majored in clinical psychology. My practicums and internships focused on individual and couples counseling, as well as a family systems approach, and in forensic psychology. Those sites included a community mental health center and Kaiser Permanente, Department of Psychiatry, training in crisis intervention and group work. Other sites included Bridgewater State and Napa State Hospitals, both forensic mental health sites. I received training and supervision in Cognitive-Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches to working with clients at that time.
I received my Master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, in Cambridge, MA, majoring in human lifespan development. I went on to study at the Clinical Developmental Institute, learning to apply developmental approaches to clinical work with clients. The primary training and focus was in developmental approaches.
My Bachelor’s Degree was completed at Lesley University, in Cambridge, MA, majoring in behavioral sciences and counseling skills. At that time, I trained at Emerge: A Men’s Counseling Center for Domestic Violence, learning group work with men involved in domestic and interpersonal violence. This approach took a pro-feminist approach to working with the men and this problem.
